Following the success of his first solo exhibition, ‘Anticipating Arkaroola’, Paul now turns his creative eye and painterly hand toward the rich variety of landscapes surrounding his home at Art Farm, MacMaster’s Beach, NSW.

Once again, Coastal Landscapes shows Paul’s breadth of approach as he experiments with creative technical and aesthetic responses to this complex coastal environment.

Coastal Landscapes will be on display at Paul and Sallie-Ann Macklin’s new Art Farm Studio and Gallery at Macmaster’s Beach and displays Paul’s explorations through a small selection of his best works, conceived on location and brought to fruition in the new Art Farm Studio.

Paul Macklin is a consummate artist, teacher and mentor.  As a passionate learner he engages those around him in his exploration of art, life and the enduring mystery of being. His great joy is to walk the path of discovery, with no fixed destination, while helping others step more confidently into the unknown on their own creative path.

December 2018  @ Art Farm Studio and Gallery, 481 The Scenic Rd, Macmasters Beach NSW 2251, Australia.

You can see all the paintings which are part of this exhibition here under artworks-waterways the ones that are still available under artworks for sale

Yea!!! A huge thank you to Viv and Dennis for commissioning the work and then giving me the complete freedom to do it my way. What a great pleasure and privilege to make art for people who are so generous and appreciative - humbled!

anticipating arkaroola exhibition

For the past six years I have been visiting Arkaroola in the Spring to paint and teach. This exhibition is a culmination of works that I started en plein air at Arkarooola
and finished in the studio here at Macmasters. This is the first time I have exhibited these works of art.

were you born to create?

I’m a creator, born that way, part of the DNA. I’m at my best when I’m creating. If I don’t create I don’t sustain my well-being, I get tired, grumpy, disengaged and depressed. If I don’t create I ache for it.
